Ed started to carve pumpkins when he was about 6 years old. He is now known for his Cinderella carriage pumpkin every year.

2005 was the first time for Ed to have the opportunity to sculpt a pumpkin that was over 1,000 lbs. In 2005, he sculpted over 11,000 lbs of pumpkins for his home display.
